Welcome to Downtown Eastside Hope

Our Mission

Downtown Eastside Hope provides residents of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside with clothing, hygiene supplies, first-aid kits, and non-perishable food, and advocates for better access to them.

Since 2019, our volunteers have distributed supplies to more than 200 street-involved residents and run digital-literacy workshops for children in the neighbourhood.

We can’t meet every need in the neighbourhood, but everyone can help meet some of them.

How You Can Help

We’re always looking for new or gently used clothing, hygiene and sanitizing products, non-perishable food items, and other donations.

We’re also always looking for new volunteers to help sort donations, pack kits, and hand them out on outreach days. Even a few hours a month goes a long way.
